An inadvertent art sculpture.
This mechanical skeleton is the remnant of a dramatic destruction. Either through arson or through self ignition following an exhaustive joy riding act. Either way it was a violent kill.
The artist found it in a green field away from a regular road side. It’s photographed in its finding spot but then digitally cleaned and isolated. The blue behind it is not weather. It is the colour of held breath, the calm of an examination room. This display combined with the ruthless edit of the fire, which removed everything that was surface, branding, consumption or plastic comfort, the object is left in a state of skeletal nakedness, stripped to the bone.
